Pajamas: Women's Winter 2017 OOTD

What would you rather wear? Pajamas or Jeans? I created an instagram poll and asked that exact question, and 83% of my followers voted pajamas. Obviously, it is not a shocker because pajamas will always be the most comfortable sleep/lounge wear, but what if the poll question was, “What would you rather wear to school or work?” The numbers would definitely change because we naturally dress up for these environments due to a mandatory dress code. There is also the fear of judgement for wearing clothing you would wear at home to a public working environment. We are taught that it is informal to wear pajamas in public as if we are walking around in our underwear. That rule has got to break eventually.

This pajama set is from Uniqlo. It can pass as a dupe for the set Selena Gomez wore from the Oscar de la Renta Pink Collection, pictured below. If you live in an area where it is cold, wear a jacket or coat with a matching bag and your favorite pair of shoes (preferably any kind of heels!). The more accessories, the less your outfit will feel like pajamas. The right amount of accessories can distract viewers from noticing what you're actually wearing. There was pajama day at my high school one day and I walked in a full pajama set and almost none of my classmates noticed I was wearing them because I had worn a scarf, a hat, and long accent earrings.
